about

Oṁ Mani Padme Hūṁ

The Avalokiteśvara Mantra with 50 people at Beauty of Mantra, Brighton Buddhist Centre 5/12/15. Offerings were made during the mantra before a beautiful candlelit shrine.

I set the mantra to an instrumental composition, originally called Offering, by Ara Dinkjian (Armenian-American).

Avalokiteśvara is the Bodhisattva of Compassion. It is said that Tārā was born from the tears he shed as he gazed in compassion at the infinite sufferings of the world.

about

Mahasukha Brighton, UK

"Today like every other day we wake up empty and frightened.
Don't open the door to the study and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument.
Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground." Rumi
